Our trip to Italy
Together with Lucija Kokan, Toma Roščić, Ema Penović and Damjan Jurić and teachers Diana Šimac and Tea Surina Granić, we participated in the International Hippo English Language Competition in Italy. We travelled by bus, leaving on May 17th and coming back on May 20th with wonderful memories and great news.
We stayed in Lido di Jesolo, which is where the competition took place. We used our free time to go for walks and buy souvenires. We also went on a great trip to Venice. We took a vaporetto to get there. We enjoyed walking around, looking at the bridges and seeing St. Mark’s Square.
The most important part of the trip was on Tuesday, May 19th, when we took the test. We all did our best. The results were announced that same day at 9 30 PM. Our classmate Lucija Kokan won the first place in her category once again. She is invited to the World Finals which is going to take place in Spoleto, Italy in September 2026.
We also want to say a thank you to our teachers for preparing us for the competition, taking us there, supporting us and helping us through the whole competition.
